¶ What are Ravens
"Ravens" are in character letters sent to other characters in discord. They're a way to communicate in character across vast distances.
¶ How to Send a Raven
- Find the Ravens channel in discord for the current season
- Click the Thread icon at the top
- Click Create
- Enter a title for your letter, this will be what shows up in the list
- @ the player of the character you wish to send the letter to.
- Describe the animal and their journey to deliver the letter
- Write the contents of the letter
- Create thread
- If you receive a letter you can share it or forward it by using @player to add them to the thread
¶ Raven Requirements
"Ravens" are messages sent directly to another character. Review the Raven Rules
They require:
- A physical setting where the raven is received.
- A physical description of the raven and the message itself.
- Who it is being sent too.
They CANNOT be used for:
- Instant Messaging. Give travel time for seagulls. They need to physically make it to their destination.
- Notices. Do not ping towns or groups that you are not a part of. A seagull sent to all members of YOUR town or YOUR guild is fine.
