Mistakes over the rules can and will occur. Perfection is not expected. Our rules are in place to protect the community and the efforts of those within the game, not to enact punishment on players who make honest mistakes. It is expected that all our players will make good faith efforts to create good stories, characters, follow our guidlines and enjoy and interact with the stories of others.
While you may receive a warning without a suspension on your first or minor rule breaks, we otherwise follow this system with violations of our rules:
Egregious rule-breaks, including those breaking Discord TOS, and accounts created to evade bans or engage in harassment of the community, may receive an immediate permanent ban.
Staff may skip one or more of these steps depending on the severity of the infraction, the willingness of participants to correct their behavior, for violating the same rules multiple times or over multiple seasons, or for leaving the Discord/community instead of accepting the suspension or warning.
Players may be asked to rectify some situations in RP. For example, you may be asked to return items stolen in an illegal raid or robbery to the effected party.
In some situations inter-personal conflict may occur that doesn't necessarily break the rules of our server but which may prohibit good roleplay from occuring or may result in rule breaks. In these situations, you may be asked to temporarily or permanently refrain from interacting with certain people or towns/guilds etc.
Permanent bans may be appealed after a period of 12 months of the ban being issued. Users unbanned from a permanent suspension will not be eligible for any appeals should they be subsequently banned again. To make your appeal, create an Owner ticket on Discord.
Users with an accepted appeal for a permanent ban will be allowed to present their appeal to admins and community members. If it is approved by vote, your appeal will be accepted.
Temporary or seasonal bans are only eligible for appeal in very specific circumstances. Create an Owner Ticket if you believe your seasonal or temporary ban was issued due to issues with staff or misunderstanding of the situation with sufficient evidence of either.
Appeals are not considered for bans issued for the following reasons:
