The Season 14 modpack will introduce some new infrastructure changes both obvious and not so obvious. Some mechanics will be here for the long haul and others are tied to the lore of the season and will go away after.
There are some mods that are added only for a season and some who we love but must be cut to make room for others. Here is what we saw in Season 13 that will not be returning:
Our core mod continues to grow and change with each season. This time there are a lot of surprises that were done under the hood to give our storytellers more ways to control your experience.
It transcends time and space to bring you the one and only champion. With a unique belt of legend only one person at a time can posess.
Coins will now be required as part of the processing for upgraded weapons and armor. Each tier more expensive than the last.
Players will now have more options for specializing. Combat and Crafting specializations will break down who is very good at their weapon and who can make things.
First Choice: Primary Weapon
You will choose a weapon to be the most skilled at. Swords, Axes, Knives, Polearms, Spears, Bows, Maces, Fists, Blood, or Elemental
Second Choice: Specialization
You will choose either a crafting profession or a fighting specialization. Those who pick a fighting specialization will be able to raise their skill cap even further.
Fighting Specializations
Guardian - Block
Fighter - Mace & Sword
Ranger - Knives, Axes, Bows, Crossbows
Mage - Blood and Elemental Magic
Pikeman - Polearms, Spears

Everyone can now turn heads into coins but you will need an Alchemist to transmute those coins into gems.
Armor, weapons and tools can have their names and descriptions changed by their maker!

Cooks can now brew meads! Potions have been returned to the alchemist but the Cook profession will be making the liquor! Cooks will also be able to make their own spices.
Clothiers make the strength belt and party hats, blacksmiths make barrel hoops. Fishing poles and bait can be made by anyone.
One Backpack per person. The only backpack you will ever need. Replacing the Adventure Backpacks mod
Tons of new weapons! Gap fillers and new shields!

Instead of unequipping a weapon when you equip another weapon, it will just stay on your back or waist while another weapon is currently equipped giving you a more warrior like vibe.

Spells are a consumable! So many new spells to cast too. New magic staves and wands. A special spell table to craft the spells at. Magic gear requirement to cast spells so no more mages in heavy armor.
Farmers can now protect their crops with their very own ward that prevents picking pickables!

Now available with earlier stations and materials!
